As a wedding photographer you long for a day full of sunshine and today didn't disappoint in the slightest. From arriving in the morning for bridal preparation until heading home after a wonderful sunset during the evening reception the sun shone on the amazing wedding of Sadie and Albert.
I arrived bright and early at a little B and B a few miles away from Sandburn Hall to capture the bridal preparation of Sadie and her bridesmaids. There was a relaxed atmosphere in the air as the tunes played out and hair and make up were in full swing.
The morning flew by and we found ourselves suddenly getting ready for Sadie's mum and dad to walk in and see her for the first time. Having two daughters myself, i always find this part of the wedding morning so special and I think there was a tear in everyones eyes when Sadie's dad walked in to see her.
The wedding reception at Sandburn Hall due to the amazing weather was outside in the rose garden. There was a touching moment just before Sadie walked down the aisle when Alberts twin brother reached over and touched his shoulder. The bond of twins is something so special and it was such a wonderful moment at this very emotional time.
Sadie looked stunning as she walked down the aisle hand in hand with a very proud dad. The happy couple said their "i do's" as the sun shone and surrounded by their friends and family there was a huge cheer as they became man and wife.
The majority of the day was spent outside with Sandburn Hall a wonderful backdrop for the group shots and drink reception.
I did manage to steal Sadie and Albert away for a few minutes for some intimate pictures. Believe it or not, the sunshine that couples so desperately want on their wedding day, made photography just that little bit more challenging. To make sure i really did the couple justice, i whisked them off in a golf buggy later on into the evening after the wedding breakfast for a few more pictures. Thank you to Richard from Sandburn Hall for the loan of the transport!
The band "The Gems" got the party well and truly started with Sadie and Albert gracing the dance floor for their first dance before it was filled with family and friends.
There was one last chance for a picture with the couple as the sun started to set before I left them to dance the night away.
I didn't stop smiling all day feeling very proud to be able to capture this truly amazing day for the most wonderful couple. Below is just a small sample of the wedding images taken from the slideshow that ran during the evening reception.
